All products are handcrafted by The Handmade Soap Store and are, unless otherwise stated, dispatched within 3 working days.
Oftentimes, orders are processed faster than that but we can’t guarantee a faster processing time.

The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of your product(s) being 100% handmade.

Product Samples
Free product samples are subject to availability.  You may request samples via the note section on your order or by using the contact form.  If you are using the contact form, please send your postal address with the request for the samples you would like to try.
The following restrictions apply;
One request per household.
Within the UK, 5 product samples per request; outside the UK 3 product samples per request.
We reserve the right to refuse any request for free product samples.

PayPal Acceptance Mark

We use PayPal as our shopping cart as it has an excellent reputation for handling credit card payments safely and securely. You can pay by credit/debit card without having a PayPal account.
We employ a method of interaction with our visitors that does not compromise credit card information.  Due to the safety and reliability measures, most  eCommerce sites allow payment through PayPal.  The transactions are relatively fast and authentic with this payment gateway.
This payment option suits to most of the online customers who do not want to reveal their credit card details anywhere on online websites.  Due to these unparallelled safety measures, payment through PayPal account is the best suited for the customers as well as the site administrators.


Our company ships Monday to Friday via Royal Mail First Class.

International shipping
We happily support and love our international customers.
We ship all International products through Royal Mail.
The Handmade Soap Store is not responsible for duty or brokerage fees for international shipping.  These charges come from your country during importation of your package.

Cost calculations
We do our best to apply fair shipping costs to each order.

* We offer free domestic shipping on all orders over £25.00


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Personalized and/or customized goods are exempt from being returned unless the product arrives defective.
Additional non-returnable items:
* Gift cards
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at melanie@thehandmadesoapstore.com

Shipping Returns/Exchanges
To return your product, you should mail your product to: The Handmade Soap Store, 40 Powell Street, Elton, Bury, Lancs. BL8 2BG.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Customers posting from countries other than the UK will need to consider customs charges for sending to the UK as we will not be held liable in paying these fees and will refuse to collect item(s) from the sorting office that require a fee to paid by ourselves. All goods returned to The Handmade Soap Store from outside the UK must be marked BRITISH RETURNED GOODS. Parcels incorrectly labeled will be subject to excise duty when coming back into the UK.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £20.00, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
